There are many ways that describe how Spike Lee's film, "Bamboozled", can have a direct affect and terminology from chapter 7. It focuses our attention on racial slurs and stereotypes in a comedy form of explaining the meaning of the film. The film is mostly targeted to show how racism is in our society today. Stereotypes is a good example of the film. All the characters are picked on and our pointed out, the use of offensive language is too much, and many racial slurs are used to point out the stereotypes in the film. It gives us a sort of anger or frustration toward our point of view of the film and when the characters were shown throughout the film there were different ethnicity describing each ones personality and how they reacted toward each other by always using offensive, racist language. Another way of describing the film is the setting in which the characters have there TV show filmed at. The producers of the show use a drop set to show were the characters live in and this refers to diasporas, to show were they came from, especially with the sound of music in the back round making the setting of musical diasporas. This how these terms compare to the film Bamboozled.

Research Blog 10

By looking at the website and researching the majority of people who use gamespot.com, there are more men than women .Hegemonic masculinity is a good example of what the site is. Just by looking at most of the blogger's names who comment on the site, their names give me a reason to believe more men use the site. But some women do subscribe to the site as well just not as dominate as men do. Because I believe more men play video games more than majority of women do. Another way to describe the site is habitus. The site is a social environment for gamers, and they all can communicate with each other. It gives the users the freedom to explore and see whats new on the site.

Members of gamespot.com not only get hailed in by the over use of video game advertisements and different links that they can use in finding out new information, but its more of the benefits that they receive. When members first join that can subscribe to email notifications that they can read from the site to catch up on the latest news and information from the site. Also the site sometimes leaks out gaming information and discounts to video game stores online. This is a great way to get other members who would like to join in the fun and benefits. That's how the gaming world is anyway, its a large group of people who love the same thing and they can spread the word to everyone who would like to find out what the buzz is all about. And with the use of the messaging board and blog posts this gives opportunity for other members to help the site grow more by having members get lured into the site.

My experience in some educational institutions seem more like a place of teaching us students good behavior and not to do the wrong things in life. When I was in high school all the teachers all acted the same way and many were very uptight and liked to punish us for the little things that happened. I feel as if the teachers tried to make us better people in the society with good social standards. Every teacher would stand up walk around and make sure we payed attention, but the was just the way they were told to teach us. I sometimes think as if my school was a spin off of the music video "another brick in the wall" by: Pink Floyd. I do feel like my educational experience their did somewhat make me a better person, everything was done the right way and there were sometimes no other way around it. It just makes me think of my school as a strong superior school with high expectations and that's exactly what I learned after graduating.

The website is more corporate in itself in someways. Gamespot.com is owned and operated by CBS broadcasting company. It has many links that link out of the site and more into CBS. For instance, there is a link that Facebook has created for the users of the website, but when you click the link it directs you to many optional links on CBS. It makes the site seem more "authentic" and making it more to the consumer of purchasing products and exploring other websites generated into this one. Gamespot is also used in many commodities for cell phone users, because you can subscribed to emails, news, information about the site and can also be downloaded as an app in some cell phone markets, apple, android, etc. The site is mainly a subculture, and targets a certain group, but with this wide range of advertising it makes the site an agency for consumers.
