The difference between a counter culture and subculture is describe in this way. A counter culture can be describe as an era or time of something that people were apart of, for example the 1960's and 1970's is a counterculture. There were many hippies, rock bands, and influential music that occurred during this time and it formed a counter culture with everyone. A subculture is a group or organization that is formed such as gamers, fantasy football leagues, and sometimes politics. A subculture is for everyone to join a certain club or group, everyone gets involved and has input i everything.
You did a good job. The only thing was that you didn't describe very much regarding the counterculture, or much about subculture for that matter. It also doesn't really give reasoning on why people from the 60's and 70's were included in the counterculture. It lacks detail on why you picked the pictures you did and what they have to do with subcultures and countercultures.
ReplyDeleteThe counterculture comment you made do fit, countercultures really started to boom then. However it is not only restricted to that time period, a counterculture is any culture that opposes another directly, could even be its binary opposite. You hit the subcultures right on.
ReplyDeleteCountercultures in those eras were very popular, but you didn't really define counterculture. Or your pictures... But overall you get the grasp of counter and subcultures.
